Metrological characterization of instruments for body impedance analysis

چکیده

<p>Body impedance analysis (BIA) is used to evaluate the human body composition by measuring resistance and reactance of tissues with a high-frequency, low-intensity electric current. Nonetheless, estimation influenced many factors: status, environmental conditions, instrumentation, measurement procedure. This work studies effect connection cables, conductive electrodes, adhesive gel, BIA device characteristics on uncertainty. Tests were initially performed circuits passive elements jelly phantom simulating characteristics. Results showed that cables mainly contribute increase error measurement, while electrodes introduce negligible disturbance chain. paper also proposes calibration procedure based multivariate linear regression compensate for systematic devices.</p>
